Kangura ('wake others up') was infamously known for its virulent anti-Tutsi propaganda. Articles in this particular issue constitute an example of how the situation in the neighbouring Burundi was transposed to that in Rwanda, to convey a monarchist Tutsi conspiracy to control the region, therefore calling for resistance by killing all Tutsis.
